Super Saturday ‘Live Sessions’ and Afterparty – The Recap

The ‘Live Sessions’ and Afterparty were a hit on Betfair Super Saturday!

Racegoers were able to enjoy an eclectic mix of live music from five local acts.

Sion Whiley

A singer-songwriter and regular performer at Newbury Racecourse, Sion kicked off the ‘Live Sessions’ as the gates opened. Using his trusty loop pedal, he is the modern take of a one-man band playing some of his distinct originals as well as covers from a wide variety of genres and decades.

ADirtySoul

Next up was ADirtySoul, the artist name for collaborative solo project from Ben Richardson. As well as playing a handful of originals, ADirtySoul also sang a range of covers from the likes of Oasis, Kasabian and Blur.

Colorado River

An energetic country acoustic trio, Colorado River have already played at many local events. They embraced the new age of country music by performing unique takes on different songs. Their inspiration comes from other country artists such as Colter Wall and Chris Stapleton.

Ellie Chadwick

Ellie is a 19-year-old singer and pianist from Newbury, currently studying music at university. In her spare time she teaches and gigs, but would like to pursue a full-time music career once her studies are complete.

DJ Mzouri

Adam Mzouri is a half English, half Moroccan DJ from Newbury, who performs under the artist name of MZOURI. Hosting the official Afterparty, he really got the crowd going after a great day of racing!
