Nicky Henderson – Betfair Super Saturday Declarations

On Wednesday, we spoke to Nicky Henderson to discuss the horses he has declared for Betfair Super Saturday, which takes place tomorrow.

“Newbury’s a lovely track for them. We’ve all used the Denman Chase and Game Spirit Chase time and time again as our Cheltenham trial.”

The six-time champion trainer had nothing but positive things to say about one of his stable stars, Shishkin, who is declared in the Betfair Denman Chase and currently heads the betting. Henderson said in the interview that he had spoken to Nico earlier that morning who felt Shishkin feels “in terrific form”. He will be going against Protektorat, Does He Know, Hitman and Sam Brown.

The trainer also lines up four horses for the £155,000 Betfair Hurdle-  Luccia, Under Control, Iberico Lord and Doddiethegreat. Luccia and Under control have both conquered the Newbury track last year, and we look forward to seeing their return tomorrow.
