Newbury Racecourse’s Big Summer Underway In Style As Summer Evening Series Welcomes Record Crowds
10,000 racegoers enjoyed the three-night series – a 36% increase on 2024 – with more music raceday action to come in August and September
2025’s Summer Evening Series with Hits Radio and its themed racedays – The 70s Disco, The Wild Wild West, and The Ibiza Beach Club – proved popular with a record number of racegoers enjoying the raceday parties at Newbury Racecourse this summer.
10,000 fans enjoyed all on offer across July’s Summer Evening Series – a 36% attendance increase on 2024’s series.
This increase comes after more than 15,000 fans enjoyed Weatherbys Super Sprint Day with Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Ella Henderson on Saturday 19th July, the biggest raceday attendance at Newbury since July 2023.

And the crowds show no sign of slowing down with big turnouts expected for the Racecourse’s upcoming music racedays in August and September, so much so that the Racecourse’s new Music Moments passes – entitling admission to two music racedays this summer – have now sold out.
Björn Again take to the stage live after racing on Friday 15th August with Clean Bandit headlining on Saturday 16th August as part of Visit Malta Hungerford Day before BRIT-award winner, James Bay rounds out the Racecourse’s biggest ever summer of music on Saturday 20th September during Dubai Duty Free International Weekend.
Fans have already saved more than £300,000 on tickets & passes for this summer’s music action courtesy of the Racecourse’s discounts for booking early and while a number of discounted tickets are now sold out there’s still time to save for James Bay on Saturday 20th September with Early Bird tickets available until 11:59pm on Friday 8th August.

Looking back at this month’s Summer Evening Series with Hits Radio; The 70s Disco brought flares, disco balls, and boogie fever to the Racecourse’s dancefloor, complete with roaming disco heads and best dressed awards for those who looked like they’d stepped straight out of the 70s.
The series’ second evening, The Wild Wild West, saw a sea of cowboy hats take over the Racecourse while live music from award-winning DJ Rattlesnake Johnny and line dancing lessons from Mama Yeehaw kept the dancefloor buzzing.
The series rounded out in style with The Ibiza Beach club, which drew the biggest crowd of the entire series – a 50% increase on last year’s finale. Racegoers partied with glittered stilt walkers and a live saxophonist before dancing into the evening to DJ Moonraker’s Ibiza classics.
