TPT Fire Supports St Michael’s Hospice In Community Focused Raceday
TPT Fire is proud to partner with St Michael’s Hospice for a weekend of racing, community celebration, and charitable support at Newbury Racecourse. The two races – the TPT Fire Supports St Michael’s Hospice EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes on Friday 15 August and the TPT Fire Handicap Stakes on Saturday 16 August – will shine a spotlight on the life-changing work of the hospice, TPT Fire’s chosen Charity of the Year.
The initiative highlights how business and sport can come together to champion local causes and inspire community connection. As part of the event, 50 guests connected to St Michael’s Hospice will be invited to enjoy live racing and an evening concert performance by the internationally renowned Björn Again, offering a memorable experience in recognition of the hospice’s work.
Gareth Richards, Director at TPT Fire, commented: “We’re incredibly proud to support St Michael’s Hospice, a charity that provides vital care and support to individuals and families at incredibly difficult times. It’s a cause that’s close to the hearts of many of our team here at TPT Fire, and we’re honoured to stand alongside them. We’re also hugely grateful to Newbury Racecourse for giving us the opportunity to shine a light on the hospice’s invaluable work and help raise awareness of the difference they make in our community every day.”
St Michael’s Hospice is an independent charity based in the local city of Basingstoke which supports people across North Hampshire who have a life-limiting illness and/or are facing death or experiencing bereavement. Only 22% of the hospice’s funds are provided through the NHS, with the rest raised by the local community, and events such as this.
